Bappasvamin

Bappasvamin was a Brahmin who lived in a place called Elapadra around 574 CE (Gupta-Valabhi era 319) which today is located in Godhra region of Panchmahal district in Indian state of Gujarat. He was a student of the Maitrayanika School of Yajur Veda and belonged to the Krishnatryea gotra.

Samanta Maharaja Simhaditya, son of Samanta Maharaja Varahadasa II, son of Senapati Varahadasa I, granted to Bappasvamin, the field of Bhondaka-Badhira-Kurumbin in the village Darbhachara, together with a pond. The Garulaka kings were feudatories of the Maitraka kings of Valabhi.
