Bhattaputra Jatarupa

Bhattaputra Jatarupa (Sanskrit: भट्टपुत्र जातरूप , Bengali : ভট্টপুত্র জাতরূপ )  was a Brahmin (Brahmana) who lived around 938 CE in  Radha (south West Bengal). His father was Shrivaccha.

In 938 CE, Bhattaputra Jatarupa migrated[1] from Radha (south West Bengal) to Sambalpur region of Odisha. This is recorded in the 938 AD Vakratentali Charter of Janamajeya Mahabhavagupta I (935 - 970), who belonged to the Somavamsa family which ruled over the area around Sambalpur region of Odisha.
