Vasudeva

Vasudeva (Sanskrit: वासुदेव , Bengali: বাসুদেব) was a Brahmin (Brahmana) who lived around 941 CE  in Sambalpur region of Odisha.  His father's name was Rishikesha.

In 941 CE, Vasudeva migrated1 from Sambalpur region of Odisha to a village in Balangir district of Orissa. This is recorded in the 941 AD Patna Plate of Janamajeya Mahabhavagupta I (935 - 970), who belonged to the Somavamsa family which ruled over the area around Sambalpur region of Orissa.

Vasudeva was a contemporary of Damaka and Narapaganda's son.
