Damaka

Damaka (Sanskrit: दामक , Bengali: দামক ) was a Brahmin (Brahmana) who lived around 941 CE  in Hampi in North Karnataka.  His father's name was Aivuli.

In 941 CE, Damaka migrated1 from Hampi in North Karnataka to a village in Balangir district of Orissa. This is recorded in the 941 AD Patna Plate of Janamajeya Mahabhavagupta I (935 - 970), who belonged to the Somavamsa family which ruled over the area around Sambalpur region of Orissa.

Damaka was a contemporary of Vasudeva and Narapaganda's son.
