Kondadeva

Kondadeva (Sanskrit: कोण्डदेव ,  Bengali: কোণ্ডদেব ) was a Brahmin (Brahmana) who lived around 941 CE  in Hampi in North Karnataka. He was originally a resident of Mukhalingam area of coastal Andhra Pradesh. His father's name was Ramasharman.

In 941 CE, Kondadeva  migrated1 from Hampi in North Karnataka to a village in Balangir district of Orissa. This is recorded in the 941 AD Patna Plate of Janamajeya Mahabhavagupta I (935 - 970), who belonged to the Somavamsa family which ruled over the area around Sambalpur region of Orissa.
