Keshava Dikshita

Keshava Dikshita (Sanskrit :  केशव दीक्षित , Bengali : কেশব দীক্ষিত ) was a Brahmin (Brahmana) who lived around 933 CE  in Pundravardhana1  in northern Bengal (West Bengal and Islamist Bangladesh). His father's name was Damodara Bhatta.

In 933 CE, Keshava Dikshita migrated2 from  Pundravardhana in northern Bengal to Sangli district3  in south Maharashtra. This is recorded in the 933 AD Sangli Grant  of Govind IV4, a Rashtrakuta5  ruler who ruled from 930 AD to 935 AD.
