Damodara Bhatta

Damodara Bhatta (Sanskrit :  दामोदर भट्ट , Bengali :  দামোদর ভট্ট)  was a Brahmin (Brahmana) who lived around 900 CE in in Pundravardhana1  in northern Bengal (West Bengal and Islamist Bangladesh).

In 933 CE, Damodara Bhatta's son Keshava Dikshita migrated2 from  Pundravardhana in northern Bengal to Sangli district3  in south Maharashtra. This is recorded in the 933 AD Sangli Grant  of Govind IV4, a Rashtrakuta5  ruler who ruled from 930 AD to 935 AD.
