Jalladeva

Jalladeva (Sanskrit : जाल्लदेव Bengali: জাল্লদেব) was a Brahmin (Brahmana) who lived around 890 CE in Takari, located in Gonda region of Uttar Pradesh.

In 925 CE, Jalladeva's son Bhatta Makyadeva migrated from Gonda1 in Uttar Pradesh to Ganjam region[2] of Odisha. This is recorded in the Shantigrama Plates of Dandi Mahadevi[3], daughter of Shubhakara V, who belonged to the Bhauma-karas, who exercised control over Balasore, Cuttack, Puri and northern Ganjam district.
