migration of Brahmins as per Dhruvasena II Charters issued in 632 AD

In this post I will talk about the migration of Brahmins as per Dhruvasena II Charters issued in 632 AD by Dhruvasena II Baladitya of the Maitrakas of Vallabhi who was a contemporary of Gurjara Dadda II who ruled in the Broach or Bharuch region of Gujarat.

As per the Dhruvasena II Charters of 632 AD, Dhruvasena II Baladitya granted a field in the western quarter of Hastikapallika Grama in Konaka Pathaka in the Kheda (Kaira) District of Gujarat to a Brahmin named Matrakala (Sanskrit: मात्रकाल ,  Bengali: মাত্রকাল) who came from Girnar in Kathiawar.
