Harachandra Bandyopadhyay (est. 1800) was a Police Inspector in the Jabalpur Police Station under the Thuggee Division. He was the son of Madanmohan Bandyopadhyay (born est. 1770). He was a Rarhi Brahmin of Shandilya Gotra.
He had 2 wives. With his second wife, Charanamoni Debi, he had three children.

- Kali Charan Bandyopadhyay (also known as Rev. Kali Charan Banerjee) [1847 - 1902]
- Tarini Charan Bandyopadhyay (est 1850)
After the death of his father, Harachandra came back to Khanyan in Hooghly District. He cosntructed a two-storeyed house for himself and a Kali Mandir adjacent to his house.
