Nitya Karma - Just After waking up & before getting off the bed

Remember the Gods and Planetary Logos

Let Barhma, Vishnu, the planetary logos etc make my morning auspicious.

Salute the Teacher

I salute that Guru, Ishta Devata incarnate, whose nectar speech destoys the poison of existence.

Then say the following

I am Divine and not anything else, Brahma indeed and not sad; my form is existence, intelligene and bliss, eternally free is my nature.

Acknowledging one’s weakness and apologizing in advance:

O Controller of the World! O Personification of Consciousness! O First among Gods! O Vishnu, the consort of Shree! By your command alone, do I wake up in the morning. For your sake (pleasure) is this journey of thw world (that I undertake).I know of Dharma, but cannot engage in it. I know of Adharma, but cannot disengage from it.
O Lord of the Senses! O One seated in the Heart! Whatever you command I shall obey!

Touch the Earth with right foot

O Earth! The Giver of all things auspicious! I salute you!

  1. for a long time I wondered what I am saying in the morning. This is a pretty good start, consider having the sankrit hindi text more appropriately. Reach me if you need more help on this. Also, a bengali equivalent text of the verses will be gr8.

    1. Dear SB,

      Thank you for the helpful comment. As requested, I have added the equivalent text in Bengali script.

      Just as an update, I have moved most of the Mantra and Puja rituals from this blog to my other blog: http://theadvaitist.blogspot.in/

      That blog has texts in Sanskrit, Bengali as well as English translation. Some translations are still pending given my time constraint. You may specifically refer to this link for some stotras:

      Thanks,
